International Certifications

The Alliance Française de Philadelphie is an official examination center that provides:
- the TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français)
- the TCF-ANF (Test de Connaissance du Francais pour l'accès à la Nationalité Française)
- the TCF Quebec (Test de Connaissance du Français pour le Québec)
- the DAEFLE (Diplôme d'Aptitude à l'Enseignement du Français Langue Etrangère).


TCF
Test de Connaissance du Français
 


The TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français), designed by the CIEP(Centre International d'Etudes Pédagogiques) is the French language test awarded by the French Ministry of Education.

The TCF has been established for non-French-speakers who, for professional, academic or personal reasons, need to have their competency in French assessed and certified reliably and by way of a recognized test.



Presentation of the examination

The TCF is composed of 3 compulsory examinations and 2 optional examinations.

The 3 compulsory examinations

Results
The results are available a month after the receipt of the examination papers by the CIEP.
The Alliance Française will then give to the candidate an official certificate of results.

Cost
The price of the TCF test is $200 for members of the Alliance Française de Philadelphie.
The price of the TCF test is $220 for non-members of the Alliance Française de Philadelphie.

The price of the 2 optional examinations of the TCF is $50 per examination.

The examination fee is not refundable once registered.

TCF-ANF
Test de Connaissance du Francais pour l'accès à la Nationalité Française





The TCF-ANF (Test de Connaissance du Francais pour l'accès à la Nationalité Française), designed by the CIEP (Centre International d'Etudes Pédagogiques) is a French language test awarded by the French Ministry of Education, established for persons wishing to acquire French nationality.

The certificate of “TCF pour l’accès à la nationalité française”  cannot be used for admission to a French university or to complete a request for emigration to Québec.

The TCF is composed of 2 compulsory examinations.

 TCF For Quebec
Test de Conaissance du Francais pour le Québec



The Alliance Francaise de Philadelphie is an approved "TCF for Quebec" Test Centre.

The "TCF pour le Québec", or TCF for Quebec, has been specially designed to be consistent with the standards of the Ministry of Immigration (MICC) of Quebec, and is only intended for people wishing to settle in Quebec.


Presentation

The TCF for Quebec consists of two examinations:

with an evaluator

The TCF for Quebec certificate is only valid for an immigration application for Quebec.

The price of the TCF for Québec test is $220 for non-members of the Alliance Française de Philadelphie.

Certificate availability

The certificate will be available 1 month after the date of the exam.

CIEP will send the test results to the Ministry of Immigration (MICC) in Quebec directly.

However the candidate must still include the certificate in the immigration application form.


Certificate validity

The certificate is valid for a period of 2 years.


Preparing the examination

The listening comprehension part of the examination can be prepared with 2 publications:            - The official Guide to the TCF , with practice exercises, published by Editions Didier                   -  "Le nouvel entrainez-vous",TCF 250 activités, collection, published by CLE International

 DAEFLE 
Diplôme d'Aptitude à l'Enseignement du Francais Langue Etrangère


L'Alliance Française de Paris Ile de France et le CNED (Centre National d'Enseignement à Distance) ont mis en place un partenariat afin de créer une formation diplômante (initiale ou continue), s'effectuant à distance.

Cette formation à but professionel s’adresse à toute personne désirant enseigner ou enseignant déjà le français à un public non francophone en France ou à l’étranger et qui souhaite obtenir un diplôme reconnu attestant de leurs capacités à enseigner le francais en tant que langue étrangère.

Un test obligatoire permettra au candidat d'accéder à la formation. Au terme de celle-ci, un examen final validera l'obtention du DAEFLE.
